Where Eagles Soar: "A Spiritual Adventure", April 11, 2005  By  D Rae (Iowa)

I just finished reading "Where Eagles Soar" by Otis D. Ritch: This is an interesting spiritual
adventure that takes place in Arizona.  Johnny SkyHawk is a young American Indian, wise
beyond his years thanks to the early teachings of his grandfather. For those who enjoy reading the
words of the Great Spirit, will enjoy every page of this book as Johnny rescues a young Indian
Maiden who becomes his beloved soul mate. Johnny SkyHawk learned as a young boy that
"Truth is absolute, facts are partial, and comprehension is relative" when he follows the spiritual
teachings of his grandfather.  How does he know he is on the path of the Great Spirit?  When the
eagle soars overhead - he knows.  "Where Eagles Soar" is book you feel compelled to continue
reading right on through to the beautiful ending once you pick it up and read the first few pages.
Trust me, I know. "Listen not to the gaggle of geese that gather and gossip, rather should you lift
your vision to the Heavens where none but the eagles fly, then you can find truth as it soars on
high."   For a treat, visit his website at  www.soaringeagleenterprises.net

Where Eagles Soar: "A Spiritual Adventure"
I can not say enough about this great book. It is the most spiritually inspiring novel I have ever
read. The story line is so fast paced that I could not put the book down until I finished it. It is a
great story and the spiritual insights the author inserted into the story, from the view point of a
Choctaw Indian, will gladden the heart of anyone that reads the story and will inspire you to
search for ever new and higher truths on the path of life while enlightening your soul.

It was my pleasure to read this fantastic book that offers more than just a good read, but help in
how to live our lives. It teaches lessons we should ALL learn and learn well. It reminds us of how
to appreciate our very existance, gives us great examples to follow and a philosophy of life to live
by.  Although it is a story filled with dangers it is also filled with hope. This is a book for our times.
One that can enlighten the spirit of all men, if people will but listen and let their spirits soar with
the Eagles. They will find peace within thier own souls.
I sincerely recommend this insightful book. If there were ten stars I would give it that and more. It
doesn't matter if you have Indian blood, although I confess to being part Cherokee, and share a
lot of the beliefs expounded here. Everyone could learn from this well written book. I'm looking
forward to the sequels that I understand will follow.

Where Eagles Soar by Otis Ritch is a truly inspirational and spiritual book. Follow along with
Johnny SkyHawk, the lead character, as he attempts to have a spiritual renewal with the Great
Spirit while he is between jobs. What happens during the next few days is not what Johnny had in
mind but because of his closeness to the Great Spirit he cannot refuse to do the right thing. Aside
from the spiritual, it has suspense, intrigue and romance. If I told you anymore it may spoil your
read. This is a book that will renew your spiritual being and put you in touch with your Great Spirit
no matter your beliefs. It was a joy to read and I highly recommend this book to all who like a real
good story and those that wish to become closer to their Spiritual Leader.

by Barbara Foster, Author
Otis Ritch has woven a tale of youth, spirituality and soul searching intertwined with adventure
and suspense.  He has given the reader an insight to Indian lore and how it relates to our
everyday life, and of the bonding between the grandfather, the teacher, and the young boy, the
student.
When Johnny Skyhawk, a young Choctaw man goes on a retreat, he never dreamed he would be
pulled into a search for the young Apache woman he met briefly.  While Johnny reflects back on
the teachings of his grandfather and the bonding between them, he is pulled into the search for the
young Lena Sweet Water who has been abducted and hidden in an area away from civilization.
He uses his wiles and his training to capture Lena and take her safely away from the dangers she
has faced.  Once she is safe, he goes after her abductor who meets a fate that no man could ever
predict.
All the while Johnny has relied on the soaring eagles to lead him to his destiny and now with Lena
at his side the eagles speak again.  Finding a deep love with Lena, he feels a fullfillment.
I would highly recommend Where Eagles Soar as it is a story written from the heart and will
remain with the reader for a long time.

Book Review: Where Eagles Soar
May 2009
By: Edith Littlefield--California
Where Eagles Soar is an insightful look into American Indian spiritual philosophy, told in a warm
and unique narrative about a small boy, SkyHawk, and his grandfather.  Just as the young
SkyHawk comes to many spiritual realizations through experiences shared with his grandfather,
so does the reader. I found myself walking through the experiences with SkyHawk and his
grandfather, and receiving the same spiritual guidance.
Otis Ritch, a Choctaw, is a wonderful author who is able to connect the reader with ancient Indian
knowledge while providing a magical journey into the world of the native people of the Americas.
Where Eagles Soar is a delightful book that I recommend to anyone who likes to read and enjoys
being transported to a higher realm of thinking.

Otis Ritch's Book, Where Eagles soar, is one of the Most  effective books I've read
on reviewing the Great spirits advice on Ethics and Morals in today's world of Chaos.
Its a reminder of our purpose on earth.  And how to meet the challenges that effect us all.
I find myself re-reading chapters just to make sure I have truly grasped with clarity the wisdom of
the words.   I have wanted to do a vision quest. "  Where Eagles soar", is the closet thing to
helping us obtain true wisdom and the tools to handle life as we know it.  Written with love and non
judgment.  Based on story of a young Native man and the wisdom he passes on with his daily walk
with spirit.  I look forward to reading more of his books that are up and coming.   " Where Eagles
Soar,"  has touched my soul.
thank you Otis for the wisdom in the words.   Bless you.  Roxy Young.

I enjoyed reading "Where Eagles Soar."  It was quite a page turner.  I could not wait to see what
was going to happen next, especially the attack of the mountain lion.  This book, to me, had every
aspect of a good read: The mystery of the abduction, the thrill of the chase, the joy of finding true
love, and the most meaningful lessons and wisdom from grand father through faith and
communication with the Great Spirit.
Not only was I able to visit a place I have never been, I was able to learn of a people I have never
met.  Through Otis's descriptive writing I was able to do both.  I am looking forward to the next
book.  Bonnie

I throughly enjoyed reading "Where Eagles Soar" by Otis Ritch.  I couldn't wait to read the next
chapter.  Most people have limited knowledge and interaction with Native American culture.
Only in "the movies" do most get a glimpse of Native American People.  "Where Eagles Soar" is
a spiritual journey, not only for Johnny, but for the reader.
Grandfather's vast understanding and knowledge of the Great Spirit allows Johnny to become the
good man, the great warrior that we all as humans strive to become--to show compassion and
acceptance, to love, to search for continued knowledge and growth.
It is my belief that by the book's end, you the reader will begin your own spiritual journey and
strive to be the "great warrior" you hope to become.
I look forward to the next book and it's teachings from Grandfather and Johnny about the Great
Spirit.

"Where Eagles Soar" & "Spirit Of The Wolf"
These books are both entertaining and insightful.  Once you start, it's hard to stop as you follow
the quest of Johnny SkyHawk in his search for spiritual peace.  The writer has provided
adventure and suspense.  Throughout the book, the writer interjects early childhood lessons of
good and evil that Johnny experienced.  As you see how these teachings help Johnny on his quest,
it also makes one reflect on their beliefs and place in the world.  I enjoyed reading these books
and would highly recommend them to others.
