Overview of stories
It was my intention, when starting this series of books, to first write stories that would contain the most
profound and comprehensive spiritual philosophy of American Indians that has ever been written.  It
provides a good look at how American Indians sees, thinks, and relates to the world around them.  Second I
wanted to write stories that would be an indictment of the moral values, or rather the lack of moral values,
in our society today.  In the first story, “Where Eagles Soar,” I wrote a story that reveals the highest
spiritual qualities that a man can, and some do, attain in this lifetime and contrasted it with a villain that
depicts the absolute depths of depravity and evil that a man can fall to.  People tend to think that some
animals are evil yet an animal only acts in the manner in which they are designed--they follow their inborn
instincts.  Man on the other hand is capable of embracing behavior that is beneath the dignity of an animal.
Man is capable of the most abject evil imaginable.  My stories shows opposition between good and evil
forces and prove that good will always overcome evil.  Our world will someday exist in complete harmony
but that day is eons of time away in the far distant future.

SYNOPSIS OF

Where Eagles Soar: ''A Spiritual Adventure''
Johnny SkyHawk decides to take a holiday in the high desert-mountain

country of Sedona Arizona.  Little does he imagine what lies ahead.  He

thought he would rest, relax, and meditate while restoring balance to his

soul.  As it turns out, he will have to try to rescue and Indian Princess from a madman who has
kidnapped her before she can be abused and killed.  A trip to relieve the stress of
a work-a-day world becomes instead, a highly stressful situation where the decisions he must make in a
matter of seconds could be the difference in a life and death situation.  It is not bad enough that he must
save a young woman from a killer, but he must also catch a man-eating mountain lion before it can kill
again. In the end, not only will he restore balance to his soul but he will also gain a soul mate.  Sprinkled
throughout the story are times when something triggers a memory and Johnny SkyHawk remembers some
spiritual insight that his grandfather taught him when he was a child.  In writing the series of Johnny
SkyHawk spiritual adventure books it was not my intention to answer any of life’s questions for anyone,
nor to answer any religious questions.  In fact my books have nothing to do with religion or religious
doctrine.  Rather, it was my intention to write a story that would include things that would raise questions
about life in the readers mind.  If reading my book causes anyone to start a quest for higher truth and to
seek out a better personal relationship with the Great Spirit then I have succeeded.  After all, if life--
intelligent life, has any meaning it must be found on a spiritual path.

This story brings out the fact that within all humanity there lies slumbering a sleeping bear.  When the time
is right it will be up to mankind to awaken the bear and stand up for spiritual truth to overcome the dark
forces of evil that exist in the world today.

the mountain and close to his friends the wolves.  Jubal then dials a phone number that his grandfather had
told him that he should call when he died.  He asked Jubal to do anything that the man asked him to do.
When Jubal had questioned him about it his old grandfather had only said that it was his desire that Jubal
would do this for him.  He called the number and some strange people came to see him and he fell in love
with their granddaughter.  This was then the start of a strange adventure of Jubal and his new wife with the
wolf Big Silver and his mate in a strange new land.  Throughout the story things would happen that would
trigger memories of spiritual things that his old grandfather Johnny had taught him that would help him
through some trying times.

Cry Of The Hawk

watch care of the community they established to their son and they start a new adventure with two wolves
as their only companions.  They ride off down a valley to experience new wonders of the world around them
but unknowingly ride towards a group of people who have an evil dictator for a leader.  The people are all
slaves to the dictator and they would become a disruptive force on the world if Jubal can’t stop them.  In
the end the forces for good overcomes the dark forces of evil.  Throughout the story things that happen will
trigger memories of spiritual truths that his old grandfather Johnny told him while he was but a small child.
This is a touching story of good vs. evil and teaches what can happen if people allow a tyrant to dictate to
them, control the government, and rule their lives.

8. The Desolate Waif  (copyrighted)                        Not in print at this time

The Desolate Waif

In this 8th and final book in the SkyHawk series a young boy sees his mother die in the field as she labors

protect him.  The county sheriff sees the bruises on the dead woman and notices that the boy has several
bruises also and takes the boy to a caretaker in town to stay until he can determine if the man had been
abusing his wife and son.  The boy is afraid that they will give him back to his father and he runs away and
gets lost in the wooded country close to the Kiamichi Mountains.  Johnny SkyHawk uses the powers of his
mind to search as he tracks the boy down. He has a vision of the boy being attacked by a panther and
sends his wolf friends to keep the boy safe until he can get to him.  He finds the boy and they stay in the
woods for a few days while Johnny convinces the boy that he will not have to be around his father again and
that the Judge has found some new parents for him.  This story points out the bad characteristic traits of
humans and shows how the potential for good can be attained and how man can become a perfected being
while still on Earth.  As in the other seven books in the series the grandfather teachings are an integral part
of the story.
